PRIVACY POLICY

HockeySwedes is designed to operate with as little personal data as possible. If we collect personal data, it is mainly when you contact us directly, send feedback, or use features that require an account or notifications.

On public pages we use privacy-friendly web analytics to understand traffic, short-lived anonymous visits, and important on-site interactions. It is used for pageviews, language switches, navigation clicks, filter changes, search result clicks, and similar product analytics, not to identify you or track you across websites.

We avoid sending free-text searches, email content, or other directly identifying data to the analytics service. For internal testing we may locally mark a browser as excluded from analytics collection without using a separate analytics cookie.

We store your choice in your browser's local storage for six months, whether you answer yes or no. If you consent to enhanced statistics, we also store a random analytics ID. Umami can then recognize return visits, measure performance, and record how the website is used. Recording starts only after your consent. Strict masking hides all page text and form input. The analytics ID does not contain your name, email address, or account ID.

The analytics data is used only to operate and improve HockeySwedes. We do not sell it or disclose it to others for their own purposes. We use Umami, which runs with a separate database on our own server.

You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time through Privacy settings in the footer. If you choose basic statistics only, the analytics ID is removed and no enhanced statistics are collected. We record the choice itself—accepted or declined—in the basic statistics so that we can compare responses. The event contains no persistent analytics ID.

• Technical server logs may contain IP address, user agent, and timestamps to protect the service and troubleshoot issues.
• Raw search text from the site search fields and admin traffic are not sent to the analytics service.
• If cookies are used beyond strictly necessary functionality, they will be documented clearly and gated by consent where required by law.
