Left winger Alex Ovechkin was 22 years old when the 2007-2008 season began, his 3rd in the NHL, and played it for Washington Capitals. He played all 82 games and scored 65 goals and 47 assists for 112 points, 1.37 points per game. In the playoffs he played 7 games for 9 points. He won Art Ross Trophy, the first since Peter Forsberg in 2003. He also won Hart Memorial Trophy, the first since Peter Forsberg in 2003. He also won Maurice Richard Trophy, the first Swede ever to do it. He also won Ted Lindsay Award, the first since Markus Näslund in 2003.
