Right winger Anders Hedberg was 27 years old when the 1978-1979 season began, his 1st in the NHL, and played it for New York Rangers. He played all 80 games and scored 33 goals and 45 assists for 78 points, 0.97 points per game. He won the Swedish points race and finished 21th in the NHL.
