Mats Sundin's 2007-2008 season
Centre Mats Sundin was 36 years old when the 2007-2008 season began, his 17th in the NHL, and played it for Toronto Maple Leafs. He played 74 of a possible 82 games and scored 32 goals and 46 assists for 78 points, 1.05 points per game. He finished third in the Swedish points race and finished 20th in the NHL. He also finished third in the Swedish goal race. Toronto Maple Leafs did not reach the playoffs. He won Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award, the first Swede ever to do it.
