Defenceman Ray Bourque was 18 years old when the 1979-1980 season began, his 1st in the NHL, and played it for Boston Bruins. He played all 80 games and scored 17 goals and 48 assists for 65 points, 0.81 points per game. In the playoffs he played 10 games for 11 points. He won Calder Memorial Trophy, the first Swede ever to do it.
