Goaltender Ron Hextall was 22 years old when the 1986-1987 season began, his 1st in the NHL, and played it for Philadelphia Flyers. He played 66 games and won 37 of them, at .902. In the playoffs he played 26 games and won 15. He won Conn Smythe Trophy, the first Swede ever to do it. He also won Vezina Trophy, the first since Pelle Lindbergh in 1985.
